Frances Langston Obituary

Frances E. Langston - SAVANNAH - Frances Elsberry Langston, 86, of Savannah, Georgia and widow of Sgt. James Arthur Langston, U. S. Air Force (Ret.), died Saturday morning, May 26, 2012, at St. Joseph's Hospital. Born in Akes, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Patrick Henry Elsberry and the late Verdie Barrett Elsberry. Mrs. Langston was a faithful member of Cresthill Baptist Church. She retired from Sears Roebuck and Company and later retired from Belk. Mrs. Langston was a people person who loved to talk and work. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, James Allen Langston and Stephen Steve Clyde Langston, three sisters and one brother. Surviving are three daughters, Nancy Langston Blessum and her husband, Robert, of Greer, South Carolina, Susan Geoffrion and her husband, David, of Atlanta, Georgia, and Connie Langston of Atlanta, Georgia; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock Tuesday evening at Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue. The funeral service will be held at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by The Reverend Andy Vaught and The Reverend T. Kenneth Jernigan.
