George William Linkous - SIMPSONVILLE, SC - George William Linkous, 77, beloved husband of Barbara Kelley Linkous, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2009. Mr. Linkous spent much of his career in Trucking. He served in the Korean Conflict; and was a member of Wilmington Island Presbyterian Church. Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Georga A. Linkous-Long and her husband Wayne of Clover; one brother and one sister, Albert W. Linkous, and Sandra L. Oliver. Predeceased were one brother and one sister, Eugene C. Linkous, and Joyce Linkous. The funeral service will be held at 3 PM, Sun., Mar. 22 at Wilmington Island Presbyterian Church Memorial Garden. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Open Arms Hospice, 1836 W. Georgia Rd., Simpsonville, SC 29680.
