James Bashlor

James Roberson (Bobby) Bashlor Jr. aka POP - SAVANNAH - James Roberson (Bobby) Bashlor Jr. aka POP age 91 went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Monday, February 16, 2015. Bobby was born in Savannah. He was an auto body and fender repairman by trade but was also an extremely talented inventor and artist. He enjoyed working with wood and creating unique one-of-a-kind designs. He loved his family dearly and was passionate about golf. He was among the elite group of golfers to ever shoot their age. Most importantly, he was a shining example of how a Christian man should conduct himself at all times. He taught righteous living by example rather than by mere conversation. He was friendly and kind to everyone and left a lasting impression on nearly everyone he met. All who truly knew him loved him. Bobby was preceded in death by his wife Nell Bashlor MeMa, daughter Lynda Suzanne Bashlor, and grandson Jacob R Bashlor Sr. Survivors include his son Walt Bashlor, daughter Deborah Bashlor Haynie, grandson James R Bashlor IV, granddaughter Cynthia Anne Fuss, and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6-8p.m.on Friday, February 20, 2015 at Fox & Weeks funeral home on Hodgson Memorial Drive. The funeral and burial will be on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 1:00p.m. at Hillcrest Abbey East Cemetery.
