John Polite Obituary

John Polite Big Mark - SAVANNAH - John Big Mark Polite, age 60, died Wednesday, March 1, 2017. A native and lifelong resident of Savannah, he was a graduate of Beach High School and attended Savannah State College. An accomplished and well known musician (drummer), he performed locally and internationally including two USO tours in Europe. Surviving are his wife, Yvette Polite; three children, John M. Polite, Jr. (Alisha), Michael Polite, and Shannon Polite; a sister, Earthell Wittlinger; and 4 grandchildren. A Celebration of Big Mark's Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at Abyssinia Missionary Baptist Church on Ogeechee Rd. Will be forever missed you were Well respected and welll loved. I'm thankful for all the things you taught me And I never got to tell you thank you as much as I should have.
I want to say thank you, you were a father mentor and friend to me. I can never forget the kindness you shown me you treated me like your son. I can only hope to pass on what you gave to me through my actions thank you for everything Rest In Peace...
