Jonathan Athon Obituary

Jonathan Vincent Athon - SAVANNAH - On November 10 Athon died from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Athon was a musician in the heavy metal band Black Tusk, owner of 13 Star Drums, and one hell of a carpenter. We will be gathering from 4-8pm this Saturday, Nov. 15th in Franklin Square (across from Vinnies and Ghosttown Tattoo) to remember Athon. This is for fans and family and friends and anyone who ever crossed paths with Athon or shared a conversation with him. Ghosttown will be doing memorial tattoos during this time period, with proceeds going to offset medical costs. Afterwards at 8pm, close friends and Family will gather at the Jinx for a private memorial. After a few hours, we will open the Jinx to the public. A memorial fund is being set up, with donations going to help pay for the ongoing medical costs for Emily Boutwell, Jason Statts and Keith Kozel, as Athon's medical expenses have already been taken care of. We are heartbroken over the loss of Athon. His candle burned out far too soon just like in the song, "Your candle burned out long before your legend ever will."
