Dear Frenchye,
I was saddened to learn of the passing of Li'l Raleigh. My sympathy and prayers are with you and your family. I give thanks to God, with you for him, as he was truly a blessing to you, your family and all who knew him.
Loosing someone you loved dearly is not easy; loosing a child, no matter how old, must be even more difficult. However, no matter the situation, Jesus tells "not to worry" in John 14. It's okay to cry and greive but God's Word (Psalm 30:5)assures us that joy will come again.

To The Bynes Family,
On Sunday November 29, 2009, our hearts were saddened at the passing our faithful usher and church member, Raleigh Bynes. While our hearts were saddened, heaven was smiling because an angel had come home to be with the Lord.

We will always remember that winning smile as visitors and members entered the doors of St. John Baptist Church, The Mighty Frotress. Raleigh possessed a smile that captured the attention of anyone entering the doors of St. John. That warm brilliant smile that was full of life and light will be missed.

Our prayer is that God will comfort and sustain you during this time and the days to come. May God bless and keep you, Bynes family.

A Reminiscence

YES, thou art gone! and never more
Thy sunny smile shall gladden me;
But I may pass the old church door,
And pace the floor that covers thee.

May stand upon the cold, damp stone,
And think that, frozen, lies below
The lightest heart that I have known,
The kindest I shall ever know.

Yet, though I cannot see thee more,
'Tis still a comfort to have seen;
And though thy transient life is o'er,
'Tis sweet to think that thou hast been;

To think a soul so near divine,
Within a form so angel fair,
United to a heart like thine,
Has gladdened once our humble sphere.

To all the family. We know what it is to lose a member of Gods green earth. It hurt for awhile, but when you know the goodness of almighty God, you must say Thank You Lord, for all the goodness you allowed in our friend, Raleigh. At my (40th) birthday party with family and friends you made folk laugh and dance and have a very good time at the Hilton, (Sep 1990). Our families made a relationship over night
and had great respect for each other. Thanks for the memories. Savannah has
lost another star that heaven has gained. Again, I join others that will miss you dearly, and greatful that God allowed us to share your life. Until we meet again.

A prayer of deepest sympathy goes out to the family of Uncle Raleigh. These words of sympathy are sent with a prayer that cherished memories will bring you peace. When we are suffering,we often feel as though our pain will never end. Peter gave these faithful Christians a broader perspective. In comparison with eternity, their suffering would last "a lil while." Some of Peter's reading would be strengthened and delivered in their suffering through death. All of God's faithful followers are assured of an eternial life with Christ, where there will be no suffering. To the daughter's of Uncle Raleigh I hope the comfort of knowing your mother and father have united again in heaven brings happiness of joy in your time of grievance. Love Jaimie and James Johnson

To: The Bynes Family,
I join you with being left on this earth by someone so loving and caring for others.Raleigh ran his earthly race and fought a good fight!! He was a son that parents would love to have, a father that children would love to have, And was the husband to his wife that other women envied! he was a great uncle to his neices and nephews a great grandfather to his grand kids and a friend that anyone would love to have. These kinds of people are few and far between!God kept him around us to see in person what the definition of a pure all around loving person is like. I enjoyed serving on the Usher Board with him at St John Baptist Church, and him being my softball coach many years ago. I watch him interact with others so eloquently and always with a smile. I know Raleigh will meet us in the New Jerusalem with open arms, when Jesus returns. Stay strong in the Lord, with all my Love!!

To the Bynes/Jackson Families, please know that you have my deepest sympathy in the passing of your father and loved one. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. In knowing this, although you are grieving, it helps to know that he is with our Heavenly Father, where he will never know sickness, hurt, or desparity again. Find comfort in one another and in the word of God. I know him to be a comforter and a keeper. Rest in HIM and abide in HIM in the coming days ahead and you will get through this. My familyu and I will be keeping you lifted in prayer and should you need anything, please know I am only a telephone call away.
