Randall Brannen Obituary

Randall Clifton Brannen - MCDONOUGH - Randall Clifton Brannen died unexpectedly on Sunday March 10th 2013 at the age of 20. Randall was born December 29, 1992 and raised in Savannah, attending Hancock Day School, Savannah Christian Preparatory School, Chatham Academy, Benedictine Military School, and Calvary Day School. His family relocated to the South Atlanta area in his senior year, where he graduated from Eagles Landing High School. He was a student at Southern Crescent Technical College. For his entire life the Boy Scouts of America were an important part of Randall's life. He was a nature lover at heart, and he eventually became an avid outdoorsman who regularly enjoyed fishing, archery, horseback riding, hiking, swimming, riflery and canoeing. Randall especially enjoyed the company of his Dad, Randy, on many camping weekends with CS Pack 11 and BSA Troop 1. He went on to achieve the rank of BSA Eagle Scout in 2011. Music was his passion. He played drums and guitar for the bands at Benedictine and Calvary. He was a talented guitarist and composed much of his own music. Randall was also a sports car enthusiast and enjoyed learning about automotive mechanics in the process of restoring his vintage Porsche 944 Turbo S. He will be remembered for his kind and generous nature, and his unflinching love and devotion to his family, relatives, and several close friends. Randall Brannen is survived by his parents, Herbert Randall Brannen and Diane Brandt Brannen; his sister Rose Marie Brannen; and by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, many of whom reside in the Savannah area. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday March 17 at 4:00 pm at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel. The Rev. Frank Sells of Ridgeland SC will be officiating. A visitation will be held following the service.
