Rebecca Kerr Obituary

Rebecca Ann Kerr - SAVANNAH - Rebecca Ann Kerr, 85, died December 20, 2016 at Riverview Nursing Home under the care of Hospice Savannah surrounded by her children. She was born December 23, 1931 in Thomaston, GA, where she lived most of her life until moving to Savannah in 1969. She was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in Thomaston, GA and attended Grady Memorial Nursing School for two years in Atlanta, GA. Rebecca had a love for animals and was a volunteer foster mom for abandoned Shih Tzu's at the Savannah Humane Society. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Dr. Pierce K. Mason, Sr., and is survived by a husband, William Taylor of Atlanta, GA, a sister, Brenda Ward of Zebulon, GA, three sons, Pierce Mason of Tybee Island, Mike Mason of St. Augustine, FL, John Mason of Orlando, FL, a daughter, Nancy Boozer of Crossville, TN, a granddaughter, Morgan Mason-Esponda, and a grandson, John W. Mason of Seattle, Washington. The family suggest any remembrances be made in her memory to The Savannah Humane Society.
