Rev. Doris Riggs

Dannette,
I was so sorry to hear about the death of your aunt. You know our family relationships go back to the time your grandmother, your mother and Aunt Sadie were neighbors to my parents and then church members at Asbury. Whenever I was in Savannah and saw the two of you working together at the funeral home, you both always greeted me so warmly. Neither of you had changed and to God be the glory. I learned about the death only yesterday , for I would have made attempt to be there for the funeral . But, I know that you will be alright because you know that she was alright with our Lord and Savior. Just wanted you to know, I care and you are in my prayers because I know that you will miss her.
With love,
Doris Riggs

Mrs. Sadia B. Williams, My Lord what a Lady. Mrs. Williams will be forever missed. The many funeral's that she directed and handle with such Diginty and Pride. I will always remember Mrs. Williams for the warm smile she gave during the time when a family was in sorrow. Mom Sadie has now set her Sail for the Heavenly and has gone on to meet the Master, For the bible declares the earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal. To you the Family my prayers are with you. God is to wise to make a mistake and to just to do wrong, may he give you strength to endure till we meet again on the Heavenly sore.

Danette and Family:
We at Asbury will miss Sadie. She loved her church. She had so much class and charm. There was never a time that she was called on that she did not respond in a Christain way. We will keep the family in our prayers.

Danette,
As a life long friend, my family and I extend our deepest sympathy to you and your family. We know that you were more of a daughter than a niece to Sadie through your obvious dedication and your lost is like a lost of a mother. But, just remember she is in God's house now, and what better place to be. May God bless you and your family.

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.
