Thank you, clint land, for your" better late than never". It was my inspiration to also share.

Steve was always a truly kind and caring friend. Like yourself, I was 25 years old when I met him through my father's business (where I worked at the time). He was about 45. Cohen's Office Furniture on Broughton Street was my first 'Membership' sale (of which I was very proud.

We remained friends long past the closure of that little piece of downtown Savannah and stayed in touch through the years. No matter the amount of time since our paths had last crossed, it was always my truly great pleasure to see his sweet self and equally so, that he valued and enjoyed our friendship as much as I.

Better late than ever ,10 years late, but Stevie took me under his wing when I was 25 years old playing golf and backing me to go on and win 2 national Amateur golf tourneys- 86-87, he was 19 years older and treated me like a true friend. He will always be remembered.

Mr. Cohen, Becky, and Kevin,
My deepest sympathy goes out to you during this difficult time. I only met Mr. Stephen Cohen a few times and he was always so friendly and had such a warm and inviting personality. I feel blessed to work for the Cohen family and appreciate everything he did to lay the groundwork for this great family business I work for.

Lance, Debra & Lisa,
I was hired by your Uncle Edward at Chatham Furniture when I was 19 years old and newly married. That was 31 years ago. It was there that I met your father, Stevie. He was as kind to me as anyone I met during my association with the store and he told me my name was the same as his daughter, - Debra Lynn. From that moment we became friends. After I left the store, I didn't see him as often but I never stopped thinking of him as my friend. Put him in a bright light and you will find great comfort. I will miss knowing he is around.

Steve was always positive. I liked to hear his voice when he was happy. It had a higher octave and drawn out sound....then he would laugh. I would like to remember him that way.
