The memorial service for Sylvia Dane, 101, of Savannah, Georgia and widow of Dr. Fabian Dane will be held at 12:30 Sunday afternoon, October 20, 2019, at Congregation Mickve Israel conducted by Rabbi Robert W. Haas. Interment was in Beth David Cemetery in Elmont, New York. Please share your thoughts about Mrs. Dane and her life at www.gamblefuneralservice.com.

The Savannah sun was out and the day was a deliciously cool fall day-- appropriate for a day on which we remembered the smile, grace and fun loving character of Sylvia Dane. She was blessed to have such an attentive, caring family and the outpouring of love from such a diverse group of people is a testament to how much she impacted the lives of others and how much she will be missed.

My thought and prayers are with Joannie and her family at this difficult time. Her mom meant everything to her. I wish I would have met Sylvia she was a lovely, caring, sweet lady.
