Kathy and kids, I am so sorry that you have lost Terry, but he will be in your hearts forever. We tried to get to the funeral, but there was no room and I am not able to stand for a very long period of time. But that in itself is a glorious tribute to both you and Terry, that so many people showed their loyalty to you all. Kathy, if there is anything I can do for you, talk, no matter what time of the day or night, please call your cuz. I think of you all all the time. Much love, Julie

To the entire Nielsen family and sister Linda Andersen. I did not know Terry, except for the wonderful things that his sister Linda told me about him. My heart goes out to his family and friends who are greiving from this loss. I just found out today about his passing and was shocked. I truly thought that he was going to make a remarkable recovery. To the Nielsen's, wow I am so sorry for the loss... He was a wonderful husband, father and a friend. I remember when he used to watch me and Jeffrey play on our hot wheels playing chicken in the middle of the road. I didn't know he was sick or hurt until I saw the write up on WTOC and I was devastated and shocked. If there is anything I can do please let me know. Haven't seen you all in a while but that doesn't take away the fond memories of the entire family. He will be greatly missed. Love Bettie Wyly and Cyndie Vaughan (Daughter)

Dear Nielsen's,

There is nothing I can say that makes this situation any better. Quite simply, we lost one of the good guys. Terry's devotion to his family, his friends, and his community will forever be etched in our hearts. He was always an insightful person that would not hesitate to help anyone out. I really hoped that this unfortunate situation would had turned out better. It makes us feel helpless to the endeavurs of a higher power. I am going to remember the sacrifice Terry gave and the good times that I shared with him. There is a time for grieving, but there is also a time to carry on with Terry in our hearts. He will not be forgotten and has my upmost respect forever. As you know, we are here for you in any manner and will always be. I am deeply sorry for the events that led to his untimely death. I just wish I could do more. Sonya, Alyssa, Kara, Hayley, Taylor, Jenna, and I consider you family and we will be with you to the end. We love you.
