“Blue” made friends of everyone he met. I remember, as a child in Savannah, that he would “stop by for just a minute” to visit with my grandmother, Mariah. Sometimes he’d bring fresh fish or crab. And of course, he’d give us “a little change”. Little did I know he was actually family! It wasn’t until a few years ago when I was doing some family research that I realized that he was her first cousin! He was very generous and kind. He shared what he knew about our family, Savannah and Daufuskie. I am eternally grateful.

I wish we lived closer together so I could be with the family at this time. I send my love and prayers.
