Darrell Summers Obituary

Darrell Summers
Darrell Summers, 80, won this earthly battle and went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 22, 2017.
'Rambo' worked as a machinist at Santa Fe Railroad 20+ years. After transferring to Kansas & then retiring, he and his wife Jessica relocated to beautiful Alaska. He was also a member of the Air Force Reserves for 23 years, as an aircraft electrician .
He was born April 16, 1936, and raised in Denver, Colorado. After 3 years of marriage, they moved to California, eventually settling in Colton in 1971. He enjoyed spending time with his family and supported his wife & daughters' Girl Scout activities. The Summers family attended Colton First Assembly of God; and in Riverside, Calvary Temple and Harvest Christian Fellowship. He will be remembered fondly for his stories, patience and good humor.
Darrrell is survived by his wife, Jessie, of 57 years, daughters Rebecca Justis (Tim) and Debbie Shiba (Lindsay), grandkids, Rachael & Sam Justis, and Caleb Shiba. His wife will continue living in Palmer, Alaska.
Our family is very thankful for the prayerful support of friends during his long struggle with Vascular Dementia. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Fisher House (4943 Zeamer Ave, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Anchorage, AK 99506)
