Joseph Frainee Obituary

Joseph Anthony Frainee Jr.
January 4, 1951- August 30, 2012
Joseph (Joe) Anthony Frainee Jr. of Cherry Valley was called home August 30, 2012. Joe was born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts; he was the eldest sibling of seven children. Because of this, as you would imagine he offered support and guidance to each of his younger siblings. In 1959 his family moved to Redlands, where Joe called home, and graduated from Redlands High School, class of 1969.
Joe is survived by, his devoted wife and lifelong companion of 36 years, Paulette (Paula McEver) Frainee. Together they raised three children: Cynthia (Frainee) Bratcher of West Milford, N.J.; Angelina Faith (Angie) Frainee of Yucaipa, Ca. and Joseph Frainee II (wife, Lisa.) of Beaumont, Ca.
Joe was a proud father who loved watching his children grow and achieve their dreams. He leaves behind six grandchildren who brought a new light and happiness to his life. Grandchildren include: Dylan Frainee (18), Joseph (Joey) Anthony Frainee III (6), Jackson Frainee (2), Chloey and Zhoey Bratcher (twins, 1 year), and Jacob Frainee (4 months.) Papa Joe was always there to cheer them on, even for the smallest of events. Whether a band recital, or an award for perfect attendance, his grandkids could always count on Papa to be there.
Joe's mom, Joan Frainee preceded him in death. He is also survived by his dad, Joseph Anthony Frainee Sr. of Redlands, three brothers: Vincent Frainee, John Frainee, and Danny Castoldi and three sisters: Maria Sterger, Joan Dauenhauer, and Donna Hollis, all residing in the immediate area. He is also survived by his in-laws: Bob and Mary Bond of Moxee, Wa., Jim and Joyce Burke of Riverside, Ca and also, Ed Wilson of Yucaipa, Ca., many nieces, nephews, and best friends, Terry Holiday of Hodge, Ca. and Bryan Vipond of San Jacinto, Ca. Countless friends will miss him.
Joe was owner of Risco, Inc. He felt a strong sense of friendship and admiration for his employees who were like extended family; some of them for 20+ years.
In addition to being a devoted family man, Joe had a passion for the sport of team roping. Many a night was spent out in his practice arena on one of his beloved horses with his son, Joe, or anyone willing to ride. Over the years, Joe won numerous belt buckles and saddles to showcase his talents in the sport that he loved.
He will always be remembered as a faithful, loving husband, father, and grandfather, who would do anything for a loved one without thinking twice.
A memorial service will be held at Weaver Mortuary located at 1177 Beaumont Avenue Beaumont, CA 92223 , on Friday September 7, 2012, at 3:00 p.m. The Family Would like to invite everyone to celebrate Joe's life after the services at Joe & Paula's home located at 9411 Rancho drive, Cherry Valley , Ca 92223. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Joseph A. Frainee Jr. Memorial Fund (Wells Fargo) acct # 7347918158 to be made to the charity of our choice at a later date. Paula and family,
I am so sorry to hear of Joe's passing. Even though we haven't been around for quite a few years, I will always remember the Christmas that you invited me up when Terry was overseas. I can still picture Joe trying, and the operative word is trying, to build a Barbie dollhouse and a few bikes. It was a hoot! Although Joe is gone, his place in our memories will live on. May the love of those around you help you through the days ahead. Always,

Tim Arnold

My life-long friend, Joe, was like the older brother I never had. We had many great adventures together and I always felt that I was part of "la familia"; Papa Joe Sr. and Momma Joan were like a second set of parents to me. I can't believe he's gone, but I know he is in the palms of the Lord's tender, loving hands. My sincerest condolences to all my "Frainee family"...You are in my heart and my prayers! Love, Mike Schowen

May fond memories of Joe comfort you at this difficult time. I worked for Dr. Etchart for the past 16+ years and had many talks with Joe on the phone, setting up appointments for his horses. He was such a nice man and will be greatly missed. Dr. Etchart & I send our condolenses to Paulette and family.

Joe was a great man. His personality filled the room and gained respect.
He was always working on how he could better his relationship with his customers.
He treated my wife and myself like one of the Risco family when we visited.
He will truly be missed.
