MaryAnn Cabrera Obituary

June 9, 1939 - August 16, 2022 MaryAnn Cabrera was born to Bonifacio Sanchez and Josephine Yepez on Second Street in La Verne. MaryAnn attended Palomares Elementary School and middle school at Sacred Heart in Pomona. She graduated from Pomona Catholic High School and married Hermilo J. Cabrera in 1958. Together they raised six children. She was a woman of many talents and treasures over her 83 years, learning embroidery, sewing and gardening from her mother and grandmother. Early on, MaryAnn also sought to help those in need and would lend an ear to anyone. She was a devout catholic and attended services at Holy Name of Mary in San Dimas and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pomona. MaryAnn was predeceased by her loving husband Hermilo (Milo) Cabrera, her son Michael Cabrera, daughter Ann Marie Cabrera, and loving brothers Ruben Sanchez and Benjamin Sanchez. She is survived by children, Alice Naipo (Al), Teri Baker (Rick), Monica Wills (Jim), and Martin Cabrera (Valerie), 21 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. A viewing and rosary will be held Sunday, September 4, at 5pm at Todd Memorial Chapel in Pomona. A funeral Mass is set for Tuesday, September 6th at 10am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pomona. Interment will occur at Holy Cross Cemetery in Pomona. MaryAnn passed away peacefully with her family by her side. She will always be remembered for her selfless giving, her goodwill, and a special way of bringing people together.
