He was Honorably discharged in 1964. Phil continued to serve his community as a Firefighter for the San Bernardino City Fire Department and retired as a Fire Engineer. He loved being a fireman and passed the tradition to his sons. He spent his leisure years hunting and fishing with his family and friends and pas sed his love for the outdoors to his grandchildren. Phil is survived by his eldest son and daughter in law, Curtis & Leslie Janeway; and his youngest son, Paul Phillip Janeway III (Trey); and 5 grandchildren, Ashley, Meaghan, Tristan, McKenzie and Logan.
