Stephanie Cummins Obituary

October 9, 1965 - January 20, 2019 Stephanie Lynn Cummins, 53, passed Sunday January 20, 2019 at her home in Highland, California. She was born October 9, 1965 at St. Bernadine's Hospital to Mary Jo (Mead) and Wayne Hodge. Stephanie and her brother Jeff were later adopted by their father Jerry Mead. Stephanie graduated from Fontana High in 1984, where she made many lifelong friendships. She married her best friend Edward Cummins in 1985. She had three children; Julie, Lindsay and Alex, of whom she was so proud. Steph worked for First American Title for over 30 years. She was loved by her co-workers, lighting up the office with her smile. Known for her contagious laugh, she was a best friend to all. Selfless and unconditional, her presence was a comfort to all who knew her. Stephanie was a tough woman and bravely battled her cancer until the end. She will be remembered for the way she made us feel. Stephanie is survived by her husband, Eddie; brothers, Jeff and Joey; sisters Sherry, Brenda, and Amber; children Julie, Lindsay, and Alex; as well as so many other members of her large family tree. Family, friends, and others whose lives Stephanie touched are invited to celebrate her at The University of Redlands Memorial Chapel on Sunday, February 17 at 1:00pm with reception to follow.

Oh Stephanie, I learned of you passing away long after it happened. I remember you vividly when I first met you, working in the Mortgage business. What a sweet, adorable, funny girl you were. Grew up to be a sweet, adorable, funny woman. Wife, mother and great friend to all. I am so very sorry you didn't get to stay a long time here on earth. God had, bigger, better plans for you. I'm just thankful, I got to spend a moment in life with you sweetheart. Your friend Carol

I will never forget all that Stephanie did for my mother during her journey through cancer and my Mom's passing in late 2017. She was an incredible role model and inspiration to her throughout that journey, a beautiful testament to Stephanie's selflessness and her desire to help others by giving back a bit of hope amidst the darkness of this terrible disease. My heart breaks over her passing and my thoughts and heart are with you all at this very sad time.

My heartfelt sympathies go out to your family during this difficult time. I hope the promise in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 can bring much comfort. Just knowing that there's a hope for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.
