Aaron Bowen Obituary

Aaron "Skip" Bowen, 85, of North Manheim Township, passed away Friday at home.
Born in North Manheim Township, Jan. 15, 1928, he was a son of the late Warren and Jennie Reber Bowen.
He served in the Army following World War II and retired from Alcoa Aluminum, Cressona.
Skip enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and loved to fish and hunt.
He was a member of the Buckhorn Hunting Club, Schuylkill Hose Company, Community Fire Company of Landingville, American Legion Post 38 and Shenandoah Senior Citizens.
He was the widower of Nancy Fritz Bowen, who died Sept. 5, 2006.
In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by his sisters, June Devine and Mary Knarr; and his brother, Wayne Bowen Sr.
Surviving are a son, Martin R. Bowen, Schuylkill Haven; a daughter, Kathleen Bowen Hahn, Friedensburg; two granddaughters, Julia and Alexa Hahn; a sister, Ruth Eckert, Schuylkill Haven; a brother, Evan Bowen, Orwigsburg; nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home Inc., Schuylkill Haven. A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will take place in Schuylkill Memorial Park. The family requests donations be sent to Schuylkill Hose Company No. 2, 51 S. Saint Peter St., Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972. To extend online condolences, visit www.gsesfuneralhomes.com. Kathy & Family,
I am so, so sorry for your loss. Your Dad was an awesome man & I have many fond memories visiting your home during our high school years together. I saw him at last year's gun club picnic/pig roast & spent some time chatting. He looked wonderful. Please accept my sincerest condolences for your loss. Know that he has now entered a beautiful & peaceful place we all long to call home one day. He has once again been joined with your Mom & both of them are at peace & will be angels on your shoulders watching over you & your family.
