Adele Humanick Obituary
Born Jan. 5, 1922, she was a daughter of the late John and Marcella Novak Zelonis.
She was a member of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, Mahanoy City. She was very active with the former St. Nicholas Ukrainian Church and loved to make pierogies.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Humanick; and brothers, Adolph, Stan, Pete and John.
Adele is survived by two sons, Peter Humanick, Barnesville, and Steve Humanick, Bruceton Mills, W. Va.; three sisters, Helen Pucklavage, Tamaqua, Stella Pollack, MaryD, and Blanche Petko, Norristown; a brother, John Zelonis, Brockton; grandchildren, Jessica, Justin, Jacob, Joshua and Tyler; nieces and nephews.
Office of Christian Burial with Divine Liturgy will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Byzantine Church, Mahanoy City, with the Rev. Jim Carroll officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today, with Parastas at 7 p.m. A calling hour will be held from 10 a.m. Thursday at the church. Interment will be in St. Nicholas Ukrainian Cemetery, Mahanoy City.
