Ann Marie O'Connell, 84, of Frackville, passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 27, at Providence Place, Pottsville, surrounded by her family.
Born in Centralia, she was a daughter of the late John and Anna (Ryan) Berrigan.
She was employed as a clerk and pharmacy tech for Rea & Derick Pharmacy in Mount Carmel and also worked at the Schuylkill Mall location until her retirement.
Ann was a 1957 graduate of the former Mount Carmel Catholic High School.
She was a devout Catholic and was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Frackville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward O'Connell, with whom she married in August 1960, and her siblings, Sarah McCormick, John Berrigan Jr., Thomas Berrigan, Helen Kenneff, Joseph Berrigan and Mary Alice Tobias.
Ann is survived by her children, Edward O'Connell and his wife, Susan, Frackville, James O'Connell and his wife, Kathryn, Carlisle, Kelly Antalosky and her husband, Russ, Frackville, and Michael O'Connell and his wife, Jennifer, Pottsville; her eight loving grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 5, from St. Joseph the Worker Parish (St. Ann's Church), with the Rev. Giuseppe Esposito, pastor, as celebrant. Friends are invited to her viewing from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass on Friday at the church. Interment will be held in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
