Anthony Stanitis Obituary
Born in Ashland, Dec. 8, 1943, he was a son of Dorothy Sarah Stanitis, Ashland, and the late Anthony Albert Stanitis Sr.
Anthony was a meat and poultry inspector for the USDA and retired after 32 years of service.
Tony was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was well known for his story telling and jokes. He was a well-rounded man that knew something about everything.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are three sons, Anthony Thomas Stanitis Sr. and his wife, Cathi Schwartz Stanitis, Hegins, Michael Lee Stanitis, Herbster, Wis., and Timothy Mark Stanitis, Ashland; a sister, Catherine Sarah Stanitis, Ashland; a brother, Andrew Stanitis and his wife, Jean, Hershey; a granddaughter, Samantha Rae (Stanitis) Rutkowsky and her husband, Joe Rutkowsky; a great-granddaughter, Zoey Rutkowsky, Shenandoah; grandsons, Anthony Thomas Stanitis Jr., Shenandoah, Travis Dennis Stanitis, and Oscar T. Dale, Bayfield, Wis.
There will not be any funeral service. There will be a private gathering held by his immediate family members. Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland, is in charge of arrangements. Visit www.kullfuneral.com.
