Bruno Kaukas Obituary

Bruno A. "Benny" Kaukas, 89, of Llewellyn, passed away Thursday morning at Tremont Health & Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Minersville, he was a son of the late Casimir and Mary Sitkus Kaukas.

He attended St. Francis Parochial School and was a member of the former St. Francis of Assisi Church.

He worked for a time in local coal mines and later on highway construction.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Helen Luckus and Aldona Dozitsky.

Surviving are nieces, his caregiver, Ellen Luckus, Hummelstown, Teresa Kahl, California, Gloria Wagaman, Hamburg, and Carol Mallick, Frackville; close friend, David Shoup, Minersville.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family with interment in Mount Peace Cemetery, Branch Township. Dutcavich Funeral Home, Minersville, has charge of arrangements.
