David M. Rhodes, 65, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2024, in his Schuylkill Haven residence.
Born in Charleston, S.C., he was a son of the late Carson Rhodes and Sarah F. Purvis.
He was the beloved husband of Brenda L. (Heckman) Rhodes, with whom he celebrated 10 years of marriage.
David was an Air Force veteran, serving as an MP.
He was employed as a corrections officer in Pennsylvania for over 10 years.
David enjoyed hunting, fishing and making walking sticks. He also enjoyed writing poetry and was very quick witted, always making those around him laugh.
In addition to his spouse, David is survived by his children, Christopher D. Rhodes, Daniel D. Rhodes, Gabrielle K. Rhodes, stepchildren, Timothy Heckman and Jenny Conklin. He is also survived by two siblings, Connie Purvis and Timothy Rhodes; and four grandchildren, Emma R. Rhodes, Kianna Conklin, Morgan Weiant and Cheyanne Weiant.
David was predeceased by his brother, Joseph Rhodes.
