Deborah Goodrum Obituary
Debbie was a 1969 graduate of Mahanoy Area High School, Mahanoy City, McCann School of Business, and Strayer University.
A 25-year resident of Centreville, Va., Debbie spent 18 years in public service with the federal government as an executive assistant. Debbie loved animals, especially rescue animals, gardening, vacations on the beach and animated films.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Ethel Janov, and her sister, Claire Janov Barker.
Survivors include her husband, Vernon Alligood, Middletown, Va.; her brother, Bernard "Barry" Janov and his wife, Deborah, San Diego, Calif.; her sister, Penny Janov Yutko and her husband, Joseph, Barnesville; her son, William Goodrum Jr., his wife, Jacqueline Tolson, and their son, Cole, Charlottesville, Va.; her son, Matthew Goodrum, Falls Church, Va.; a stepdaughter, Ashley Alligood, Ashburn, Va.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Debbie's name to the Humane Society of Warren County. A memorial service in Debbie's honor will be held in Centreville, Va., in March, details forthcoming.
