Edward J. Barowski, 90, of Shenandoah Heights, passed away Monday, Jan. 10, 2022, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, Allentown.
Born March 7, 1931, in Shenandoah, he was a son of the late Julius and Elsie (Dombrowski) Barowski.
Ed was a veteran of the Army.
He worked many years in different avenues of work, which include mining, driving, operating and most recently did plumbing for Pipe Fitters.
Outside of work, he was a volunteer fireman and was an avid hunter and fisherman traveling all across Pa., including numerous trips to Erie and Canada. Ed will be remembered as a strong, adventurous man who was always the life of the party with his witty jokes and fantastic sense of humor. But most importantly, he was a great father, grandfather and amazing husband. From the family: "Hug the ones you got a little tighter."
Besides his parents, he was preceded by his daughter, Joyce Barowski, in 2021; a brother, Robert Barowski; a sister, Joan Perrong.
He leaves behind his wife, Roberta (Wishnefsky) Barowski; a son, Mark Barowski with his wife, Michelle, Walnutport; one sister, Dorothy Mattes, Ringtown; his grandchildren, Tyler Wierzalis, Tom Chatkiewicz and Alexa Barowski; a great-granddaughter, Alyssa Abrachinsky; a great-great-granddaughter, Hadley; several nieces and nephews.
