George Toth Obituary

George Toth, 86, formerly of MaryD, passed away Friday at Phoenixville Hospital.

Born in Pottsville, May 6, 1931, he was a son of the late Victor Sr. and Anna Hudivok Toth.

George was a retired Korean War veteran, serving in the Air Force for 21 years from 1952 to April 1, 1972, attaining the rank of staff sergeant.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Victor Jr. and John.

George is survived by a brother, Joseph Toth, Hamburg; nieces and nephews; and a host of relatives in Eastern Europe.

Office of Christan Burial with Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, Brockton, with the Rev. James Carroll, OFM, as celebrant. A viewing will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Interment will be in the parish cemetery in Tuscarora. Thomas J. Bartashus Funeral Home, New Philadelphia, is in charge of arrangements.

George was family to my whole family. He was always with my family at Thanksgiving at Aunt Roses house in Mary D that we looked forward to every year to see George and his brother Joe . Love you George
