Jack Kremer Obituary

It is with a heavy a heart that we announce the death of Jack Richard Kremer, 72, of Pine Grove, on May 2, 2021.

Born Sept. 20, 1948, in Pottsville, Jack was a son of the late Jeanette (Yost) and Harry Kremer. He was the loving husband of Catherine Burock Kremer with whom he celebrated 42 years of marriage. Jack was a graduate of Schuylkill Haven Area High School and Pennsylvania State University, where he met his future wife on the first day of classes.

He served in the Army in So'gel, Germany, as a radio teletype operator for the 125th Ordnance Company. He was employed as a U.S. Army Security Command Supply Specialist (USASCSS) at New Cumberland Army Depot.

Jack was a very talented musician who played several different instruments beautifully by ear, including saxophone, clarinet, recorder, trumpet, acoustic and electric guitar. He often serenaded Catherine with original compositions in addition to big band numbers, folk songs, classical music and his favorite, jazz. He began each day reading the Bible and enjoyed translating Hebrew from the Old Testament.

Jack was a passionate nature photographer who spent countless hours capturing interesting creatures in their habitats or composing stunning landscapes while tirelessly and patiently waiting for the "perfect light." Many days were spent at Hershey Gardens and Arboretum and Longwood Garden photographing the beauty of nature. Jack's family created "Jack's Get-Well Garden" when he became ill almost three years ago. Jack was touched by the gesture and said it provided peace and serenity for him. It will now be named "Jack's Memorial Garden" to honor his deep love of flowers and plants, especially roses, lilies, daffodils and wildflowers.

Jack had an intense love and compassion for homeless cats and dogs demonstrated by his numerous pet adoptions throughout the years. He often joked that he managed his own animal shelter. This truly unique, interesting, gentle man will be deeply missed by family and friends.

Jack was preceded in death by his stepfather, Alexander Kusinska.

In addition to his wife, Catherine, Jack is survived by his sister, Cheryl Veniero, wife of Robert, of Freemansburg; brothers-in law, Judge Theodore Burock, husband of Diane, of Carlisle, Robert Burock, husband of Lynne, of Media, and Frank Burock, husband of Kristin, of Sinking Spring; sister-in-law, Dr. Anita Burock Stotts, wife of John, of Schenectady, New York; Aunt Theresa and Uncle Russ Burock, of Center Valley; nieces, Julia Anne Veniero and companion, Geoffrey, of Lancaster, Amy Elizabeth Burock, of Rotterdam, N.Y., Alexia Alvarez-Burock, of Media; nephews, Michael Burock and companion, Sarah, of Easton, Dr. Nicholas Burock, of North Canton, Ohio, and Zavier Alvarez-Burock, of Media; great-nephew, Pace David Monahan, of Rotterdam, N.Y.; helpful caring neighbors, Brenda and Thomas Maidenford and Patsy and Jay Martin, of Pine Grove; treasured friends, cousins and cherished kitties.

Funeral services will be held 9:30 a.m. Monday, May 10, at Bruce T. Hart Funeral Home, 110 N. Second St., Saint Clair PA 17970.
