Jan R. Sweat Gentry

Jan R. Sweat Gentry, 66, of Pottsville, formerly of Chesterton, Ind., passed away Sept. 9, at Rosewood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Schuylkill Haven, where she had been a resident.

Born in Pottsville, Jan. 27, 1951, she was a daughter of the late John and Gloria Reinoehl Sweat.

She was a graduate of Saint Clair High School and was formerly employed by Bethlehem Steel.

In addition to her parents, Jan was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Sweat.

She is survived by her son, Rory Gentry, Florida; two sisters, Debra A. Forney, wife of Robert Forney, Pottsville, and Judith Hulet, Saint Clair; a granddaughter, Saavik Boomgarden, Florida; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; great-nieces and -nephews.

A Celebration of Life funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Saint Clair Wade United Methodist Church, Saint Clair, with Christ Servant Minister Debra A. Forney officiating. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the church. Interment will be held at a later date.
