Joan M. Selinko, 95, of Pottsville, died Tuesday at home, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Aug. 21, 1926, in Pottsville, a daughter of the late James and Anna Canfield King.
She was a graduate of Pottsville High School.
She was employed by Juliette Bridal, Pottsville, prior to retiring.
Joan was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, the former Mary Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church and Good Will Fire Company No. 4 Ladies Auxiliary, all of Pottsville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph W. Selinko, on Feb. 17, 2008; two brothers, James and Bernard King; three sisters, Lorraine Kolessar, Anna "Nancy" King and Margaret Steele; a daughter-in-law, Georgia Ann Selinko; son-in-law, Charles Shaud.
Surviving are her son, Joseph T. Selinko, Pottsville; a daughter, Joan Shaud, Saint Clair; grandchildren, Joseph Michael Selinko and his wife, Martha, Christine Selinko and her husband, Michael Troy, Butch Selinko, Collen Selinko, Wendy Jones and her husband, Eric, and Gretchen Shaud; great-grandchildren, Devin, Stevin and Meadow Selinko; great-great-grandchild, Gunner Selinko.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions in memory of Joan be made to Good Will Fire Co. No. 4, 114 Nichols St., Pottsville, PA 17901.
