John Rupinski Obituary

John Rupinski, 57, of Aristes, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

He was born Sept. 4, 1966, in Shamokin Hospital, a son of John and Phyllis Frye Rupinski.

John was a graduate of North Schuylkill High School, Class of 1985.

He worked construction for the Laborers Local Union No. 158, Linglestown, and formerly served as union steward until his illness.

John was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and trap. He enjoyed watching Penn State football, the Phillies and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Rupinski, in 2015.

In addition to his mother, Phyllis, John is survived by two daughters, Carisa and Dana Rupinski; son, John Rupinski Jr; companion, Dionne Wolfgang, former wife, Michelle Jordan; sister, Christine and husband, Dave Heyer; brother, Michael and wife, Candida Rupinski; grandchildren, Jax, Nyla and Valdir Jr.; several nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, at St. Charles Borromeo R.C. Church, 1115 Walnut St., Ashland, with Father Giuseppe Esposito, celebrant. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of Mass at the church. Burial will be private at the Zion United Methodist Cemetery, Aristes. Buffington-Reed Funeral Home Inc., Valley View, is in charge of arrangements. Condolences can be left for the family at www.buffingtonreed.com.
