Judith A. "Nan" Mills

1940 - 2021

Judith A. "Nan" Mills, 81, of Pottsville, passed away Wednesday evening at her residence with her loving family by her side.

Born July 22, 1940, in Pottsville, she was a daughter of the late Norman H. and Margaret (Cavalier) Felker.

She was a 1959 graduate of Pottsville High School and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville.

For many years, Judy was a garment worker for Onyx Blouse Co. and then worked as a nurse's aide at Pottsville Hospital.

She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, crocheting, gardening, the beach and family vacations, but most of all, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by great-granddaughter, Emma; sister, Margaret Boyer; and brother, Roy "Buzzy" Edwards.

Judith is survived by daughters, Sherri Marx, wife of Richard, of Pottsville, Cathryn Veronsky, widow of John, of Tamaqua, Kristine Maley, wife of Michael, of Pepperell, Massachusetts, and Michele Yom, wife of Lee, of Pine Grove; grandchildren, Rick, husband of Astra, Adam, Justin, Tamra, wife of Mark, Travis and fiance, Jenna, Michael, Patrick, Joshua, Brandon, Gabrielle, Siandra; great-grandchildren, Cooper, Ayla, Judein, Parker, Hailey and Jonah; brother, James, husband of Donna Felker, of Fla.; nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5, at Lord-Bixler Funeral Home Inc., 1818 Mahantongo St., Pottsville, with Pastor Chris Rothharpt officiating. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
