Margaret Thelma Gilhooly, 82, born in Allentown, and currently of Eastampton, N.J., passed away Feb. 5.
Preceded in death by her husband, John Matthew Gilhooly, she was also preceded in death by her parents, George William Hetrick and Thelma Gertrude (Hartz, Hetrick) Sakitis; siblings, Sandra Brennan, Daryl Wolf, Jack Sakitis and Robert Sakitis; and her grandson, Dylan Sollenberger.
She is survived by her daughter, Wendy (Scott) Sollenberger; grandchildren, Emily (Adam) Putnick, Meagan (Brian) O'Brien and Zackary Smith; great-grandchildren, Willow and Lilith Putnick, Audrey O'Brien and Aiden Sollenberger; and cousins, Joe (Dana) Hartz, Marie (Victor) Muncy and Jim (Lisa) Hartz.
She married her late husband, a USAF veteran, in 1975 and together, they enjoyed traveling the globe, both while in service and for many decades thereafter.
A memorial service will take place Friday, Feb. 17, at Perinchief Chapels, 438 High St., Mount Holly, N.J. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. with services at 3 p.m. Interment will take place privately at the convenience of the family in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Military Cemetery.
