13+ yrs later & I still remember Bob & the fun times we had. When I hear an old classic from YES or Billy Joel I always think of Bob with a smile. Rest in peace my friend, we'll meet again.

Sandy, Missy & family,
It's taken me some time to fully accept the loss of Bobby. I was a young 20-something kid when we 1st met. Bobby befriended me, welcomed me into his home & treated me like family. Now, 17 yrs later, after his passing, I am the age he was when we met - how ironic. The guy I first knew as a husband, father, son, uncle & brother, shortly afterwards became a best friend to me. I learned a lot from Bobby & he's someone I am proud to have known. I spent so many good times with him... Life is so short & can change so quickly - we talked so many times about getting together to catch-up & remember old times, but it never happened. Take all the memories & hold them close to your heart, keep your head up, laugh, smile & give one of those friendly waves that Bobby was so famous for. I've lost people before - family & friends, but this one sure hurts & will for a long time. I'll miss Bobby & for the rest of my days, I'll always remember him fondly. Take care & stay strong.

Please accept my condolences on the passing of Bob. I am plesed to read what others have written., Like his parents, Bob was very much liked (even though physics wasn't his thing!) My deepest sympathy to the Mitchell family. The news of Bobby passing was very sad indeed. He was a great teenage friend and continued to be a great friend whenever our paths crossed. Bobby was a lot of fun and i remember his love for nature and the mountains. It is just so sad to have to say goodbye to a really good person like Bobby. Sandy, hang in there sweetheart. You found your true love in Bobby, and i know this must be very hard for you. I also can't help but think about all the close friends Bobby had and how they are feeling. I am unable to attend on Saturday, but my heart and mind will be there along with prayers. Rest in peace my friend.

Sandy, Melissa and Family,

We were saddened to learn of Bobby's passing. May knowing you're in the
hearts and thoughts of others help you and yours through this time of sorrow.
Below is a poem I found comfort in and hope you do as well.

MISS ME
Miss me; but let me go.

When I come to the end of the road,
and the sun has set for me.
I want no rites in a gloom filled room;
why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little - but not too long;
and,not with your head bowed low.
Remember the love that we once shared.
Miss me - but let me go.
It is a journey that we all must take
and each must go it alone.
It's all a part of the Master's plan
a step on the road to home.
When you are lonely, and sick at heart;
go to the friends we know.
Bury your sorrows in doing good deeds.
Miss me - but let me go.

With deepest sympathy,

Barb, Terry & Tara Murphy
