Sarah J. Haldeman, 78, of Schuylkill Haven, died Friday at Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson Street, Pottsville.

Born in Pine Grove, Oct. 5, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Herman and Mammie Richards Staller.

Sarah was a member of Welcome United Methodist Church, Landingville.

She worked at Mecks Knitting Mills in Schuylkill Haven and Orwigsburg.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Christine Woomert; a brother, Carl Readinger.

She is survived by a sister, Ruth Yost, Lancaster; a brother, Richard Staller, Pine Grove; three grandchildren, Alan Woomert Jr., Schuylkill Haven, Charles Woomert, Schuylkill Haven, and Heather Donati, Palo Alto; three great-grandchildren; a son-in-law, Alan Woomert Sr.

Services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Geschwindt Stabingas Funeral Home Inc., Schuylkill Haven, is in charge of arrangements. Condolences can be sent to www.gsesfuneralhomes.com.

Thinking of you all at this time. She was a wonderful aunt and will be missed greatly, but now she's reunited with her daughter, and brothers Edward, Alvin, & Elwood, and sister Alma "Tootsie", who all went home before her.
