Darlington - Brenda Joyce Odom Weaver, age 70 died Wednesday, June 1, 2022. A funeral service will be held 12:00 p.m. Saturday, June 4th in the chapel at Belk Funeral Home with burial following at Odom Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior Saturday at the funeral home and other times at the home of Mishelle Altamirano, 306 Lawson Rd. Darlington.

Born in Darlington on December 22, 1951, Brenda was the daughter of the late Lawrence Allen Odom and Dorothy Josephine Gibson Odom. She worked at Nytronics and later worked as a housekeeper for McLeod Hospital until her retirement. She enjoyed painting, reading and playing games on her phone. Brenda loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving is her husband, Mitchell Leroy Weaver; her children, Heyward Clyde (Lori) Atkinson, Jr., Dorothy Joe Altamirano (fiancé Ron O'Neal) of Hartsville, Mishelle Evette Altamirano of Darlington, foster son, William Chapelle (Wilda) O'Cain of Bishopville; step-children, Ronnie Lee (Stacey) Weaver, Lisa Kelly (Robbie Cole), all of Darlington, Mindy Lynn Weaver of Hartsville; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Elaine (Jesse) Hoffman of Hartsville, Linda Darlene Odom (Leonard) Rathbone of Angier, NC; and many nieces and nephews.
