Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Andrew J. "Andy" Imholte, age 93, of St. Cloud, who passed away on Friday, July 1, 2011 at St. Benedict's Senior Community in St. Cloud. Reverend Vincent Lieser will officiate. Burial will take place at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls with Military Honors.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud and after 9:00 a.m. on Thursday at the Church. A family lead prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Andy was born on October 3, 1917 in Clear Lake, Minnesota to Frank and Dora (Hoffmann) Imholte. He Served Honorably in the United States Marine Corps during WWII. Andy married Elaine Sauter on September 12, 1946 in Fairmount, North Dakota. He was a member of the Black Diamond Auctions Team, Waite Park American Legion Silver Star Post #428, and both St. Joseph's and St. Michael's Catholic Churches.

Andy enjoyed playing cards, wood-working, fishing, listening to music, and especially visiting with people. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was enjoyed by family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of St. Cloud; children, Frank (Peggy) of St. Cloud, Paul (Karen) of St. Cloud, Joelle of St. Paul, Arnie (Jane) of Madison, WI, Glenn (Deceased) Lynn Imholte of St. Cloud; grandchildren, Andy (Jessica), Katie, Joe (Jennifer), Michael, John, Owen, Will, AJ, Christopher, Phil, Marie, Thomas Imholte; great-grandson, Matthew Imholte; brothers and sisters , Cyrilla Valley of St. Cloud, Harold of St. Cloud, Marie Boras of Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, Norman of Clear Lake.

I will not be able to make the services but I will be with you in spirit Joelle. I have some very nice wood pieces that your Dad made. A picture frame, some napkins rings for our wedding and I still use an antique table that he fixed for our phone table. What a wonderful man. His memory will live on in the works of his hands.
