Hi Gail,

If you are still living in Grand Marais, I'd love to drive up some day for a visit. Let me know if you'd be available some time this summer/fall. I live in Barnes, WI now, about 1/2 hour north of Hayward.

I just became aware of George's passing this morning. I was so saddened to read the obituary as a result of a Google Search to find "Gail & George" with hopes of traveling up to visit with the "Huschles" this fall. I have such fond memories of the two of you during your involvement with the International Programs that brought us to know each other. My expression of sympathy, though belated, comes to you with an aching heart. I'm sure that all the happy memories you all shared with George will keep him as a bright light in your lives forever.

Please accept my deepest condolences, Gail, upon learning of the passing of dear old George. I will always cherish the memory of the three of us struggling mightily with the Russian language (particularly George and myself) in Lena's Cherkasy flat in the autumn of '02. How the time flies. I can honestly say that I have never met a warmer and wiser man than George Huschle. God bless George, and God bless you. We had a quite an experience in Ukraine. All the best,

Gail, I wish I would have kept in contact with you and George. I just read a card he sent to Nick when he had his heart transplant. While trying to find your address I found his obituary and am very sad. We enjoyed giving each other Wedding Anniversary cards as you & George shared the same date. You in St. Cloud and we in St. Paul. I enjoyed the time we worked together. I cherish his memory as I often remember them. May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Gail and family: So many memories come flooding back to Steve and myself. It's still hard to believe that George is no longer here for all of us.
We'll always treasure the times we had together; whether here in Arizona, Canada, the lake cabin, your house in Grand Marais or St. Cloud so many years ago. You'll be in our thoughts for many years to come. We'll see you in July.
Much love to you all...Sandy and Steve Manderfeld

Gail, I am so sorry for your loss. I didn't get to spend a lot of time with George but I do cherish every minute. My fondest memory will always be fishing in Canada with George and Wayne Beyer. The 3 of us spent 3 days fishing together in the same boat and it was one of the most enjoyable times I have ever had. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Gail, you will be in our thoughts and prayers during the loss of your beloved husband, George. Ken has many fond memories of George from their high school years together and will miss him. He especially thought it was very neat and informative that George sent monthly reports on Georges travelings while in the peace corp in the Ukraine.

and have wondered for yrs. what happened to
Geo. Am so happy he had a good life. God bless
