I had the blessed opportunity to work for Mike especially early on in my career, back in the 90's. I learned so many things from him professionally and personally. Working for him and with him was invaluable. I have taken with me many things from his character and still apply them today in my work. He was a very caring and passionate person to all things and people in his life. My heart goes out to his family, friends, clients and Schlenner Wenner family. He truly touched many lives and will be missed.

Mike was a one of a kind. I worked with him for about 3 years and I admired his work ethic and straightforward attitude. My first tax season at the firm (I was an administrative assistant) he had me run around town to find some golden eggs for Easter baskets. It was probably my second week there. I remember finally finding some and bringing them to him and he just laughed. He is going to be greatly missed. Prayers to all of his family, friends and employees of Schlenner Wenner & Co.

Michael Wenner...
Loyal, compassionate, empathetic, counselor, life coach, confidence booster, mediator, realist, our forever friend. Mike became like a dad to us when we were in our early 20's trying to buy the Dairy Queen with not a penny in our pocket or much business sense. He took us under his wing, mentored us, invested in us and became someone we grew to depend on and trust. We valued his opinions, took his advice, laughed with him and cried with him. We made him pull out some hair and roll his eyes at us trying to make sense of our scattered thought processes. There is no way we could thank him enough for pouring his time, efforts and wisdom not only in our business lives but personal lives also. 20 years later...He was waaaay more than an accountant to us, more than $ and numbers. He is our friend. We sure are going to miss you Mike, "and that is exactly so"

Mike was a wonderful, caring person. He was my boss for many years, even before the Schlenner/Wenner partnership. We worked together for 9 years. He would always bribe me to get his work placed in front of others (sorry Jim), so thanks for the Mountain Dew addiction Mike! Rest in Peace.

I was privileged to be friends and partners with Mike for 39 years. i can still remember us starting our careers together in the summer of 1979. We saw and experienced many things over the years and one could ever ask for a better partner.
Mike loved his profession as well as his co-workers and clients. No one worked harder and you grew to love his straight forward, candid, common sense answers to many issues.
After his double lung transplant he was back to work and on with his live. Despite all the medical challenges he faced he never once complained or said why me! He was a strong and brave man and will be missed by all.
Finally and most importantly Mike was a wonderful and loving Dad and Grandpa to Katie, Paul and the grand-kids.
Rest in peace Mike we will all miss you.

Mike hired me right out of college and for the 30 years I worked with him he was a mentor and friend. He endured a lot in life and will be missed.
