Pauline M. Kluetsch, 90 year old resident of Pierz, MN, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2014 at St. Cloud Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pierz, MN with Father Kenneth Popp officiating and Father Tony Kroll concelebrating. Burial will take place at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Little Falls, MN. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 PM on Wednesday at the Shelley-Virnig Funeral Chapel in Pierz and one from 9 to 10 AM Thursday at the funeral chapel

Pauline Kluetsch was born on June 22, 1923 in Morrison County, Minnesota to the late Frank and Margaret (Cekalla) Kroll. She grew up on the family farm near Little Rock and Married Cpl. Walter Frank Kluetsch on November 28, 1944. Pauline and Walter lived in Sauk Rapids for 33 years before retiring to Pierz, MN in 1981. Her life was devoted to her 16 children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Pauline had many hobbies throughout her 90 years. She was a great cook and caterer. She worked along side her husband, Walt staining and finishing the cabinets and furniture he built. She was a gardener and sewed beautiful quilts for family and friends. Most of all she loved volunteering as a member of St. Michael's Christian Mothers. Pauline is survived by her three children, Vickie (Henry) Herickhoff of Sauk Centre, MN, Marge ( Ruben) Schmit of Foley, MN and Larry (Anne) Kluetsch of Branford, CT; grandchildren, Shelley Parkinson, Amy Schmit, Brian Schmit, Emily Lind, Darrin Herickhoff, and Andy Herickhoff; great grand- children, Ashley, Adam, Paul II, Hannah, Jack, Makia, and Isaak; brothers, Clem (Winnie) Kroll, Celestine (Rosie) Kroll, Father Tony Kroll, Jim (Pat) Kroll, and Tom (Ginny) Kroll; sisters, Sr. Lillian Kroll, Jean (Arvin), Cordelia Kroll, Sr. Ade Kroll, and Janet (Elmer); and many dear nieces and nephews. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter, and infant daughter. Honorary Pallbearers will be Hildegarde Kapsner, Ginger Grittner, Pam Grittner, Brenice Marshik, Mary Ann Gulden, Lucy Kelzenberg, Mariline Przybilla, and Esther Britz. Active Pallbearers will be Pauline's grandchildren.
