Words really can not express how wonderful it was to know and learn from Buddy! He was a giant in music but never let on to just how important he was.
I got to know him over the last 8 years or so, meeting him for the first time when NAMM paid honor to him at their trade show by bringing on stage 5 modern drummers to tell of Buddy's role in their playing. It was wonderful!
I later was able to interview him as part of NAMM's Oral History program and found out first hand what a wonderful career he really had. I felt blessed to have known him. My heart and prayers go out to his family, his dear friends including Bob Moore and others from the A Team and his fans around the world.
