Christopher Britton Obituary

NORTH HAMPTON - Christopher John Britton, 43, died on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 with his family at his side. Christopher was born on July 29, 1974 in Biddeford, Maine the third of four children to Linda and Danis Britton then of Old Orchard Beach, Maine.

Christopher attended local schools in Maine as well as Crotched Mountain School. He moved to North Hampton in 1994 and graduated from Winnacunnet high school in Hampton in 1995.

Christopher participated in the Southern Maine and the NH Seacoast Special Olympics from the time he was eight years old. He won 25 ribbons over the years, nine of which were first place as well as 11 medals for his achievements. He enjoyed movies, country music, and was very competent with technology, especially his iPad. He also collected electronics, specifically different kinds of audio as a hobby. He loved Disney World and all things Mickey Mouse, cats, and his brother's dog Mitchell. He especially loved the Christmas holiday season.

A long-time patient at Boston Children's Hospital, Christopher had many hurdles and challenges in life, but he always came out on top and stronger than before. He was a real fighter. Kind, loving, humorous, and comical, he was a joy to be around. He accepted his place in life and never complained, yet he could still laugh and smile despite that. He was an angel on earth touching so many lives that are so much better off because of him.

He is survived by his father and stepmother Danis and Sharon Britton of Alfred, Maine; a bother, Dan Britton of Portsmouth, N.H.; sisters Tracey of Salisbury, Mass., Jill Britton of Saco, Maine and her partner Sandi Wyman; his stepfather and primary caretaker Steven Borruso and his wife Cathy of North Hampton, N.H. His mother Linda Borruso predeceased him in 2005.

SERVICES: A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 19, at 12 p.m., at Laurel Hill Cemetery located at 293 Beach St., Saco, ME, 04072.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Boston Children's Hospital Trust, 401 Park Drive, Suite 602, Boston, MA, 02215 for Spina Bifida Research in memory of Christopher Britton.
