Jeffrey Dunton Obituary
Jeff was employed by Ocean Properties for over twenty years where he was a maintenance supervisor. He was previously self employed as owner of Rainman Irrigation.
He was loved by everyone he met for his kind heart and wonderful sense of humor. Jeff loved riding his motorcycle and took pride in the home he was building in Eliot. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Jeff is survived by his brothers, Steven Dunton of Eliot, Kurt and his wife Tracy Dunton of South Berwick; stepdaughter, Jessica Stanley Thorn; grandchildren, Jacob and Juliana Thorn, Courtney, Haylie, and Hannah Alessi; several great grandchildren, neices and nephews, his former spouse, Jan Stanley and inlaws; and his life companion, Sheila Katsanos and his beloved pride and joy German shepherd, Lenny.
He was predeceased by his parents and brothers, Timothy and David Dunton.
SERVICES: Friends are invited to join his family for a time of visitation from 10 to 12 on Sunday, Oct. 29, 2017 in the JS Pelkey Funeral Home 125 Old Post Road, Kittery Maine 03904. A celebration of his life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to St. Jude Childrens Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105. Or to K9's for Warriors 114 Camp K9 Road Ponte Vedra Florida 32081.
Care for the Dunton family has been entrusted to the JS Pelkey Funeral Home.

Just talking about you the other day.. we didn't get to know each other in the manner I wish we could have, but you I am glad that I got the opportunity to meet you.
I just wish your granddaughter (myself and your son's child) could have gotten to have a relationship with you.
I am glad you got to meet her, though, because she's amazing.
It was a blessing to meet you and your side of the family when I did.
Continue to rest in peace, Jeff.

Was laying here tonight thinking of one of the best guys I've ever know and had the pleasure of working under at Ocean Properties and Rainman Irrigation. Last time I saw him, 2007, he drove to my house in Stow, MA to help me install my own irrigation, years after leaving those companies and beginning my own carrier as a police officer. He always called me "the cop". Tonight, I learned of his passing, via a google search and I'm crushed. My search was to try and reconnect, not to find out the news I did.
Such a great soul and just an all around nice man. He met me at my first Bike Week, took me for tips around portsmouth in his Boss Mustang, we grabbed dinner together on days off, took breaks on the beach in Northampton, travelled all over for Ocean Properties together in his Rainman truck. Endless memories of my friend Jeff. Saddens me we didn't link up again before his passing. He will live forever in my memory.
