Nancy Knight Obituary
Nancy was born and raised in Portsmouth, N.H., the daughter of the late Joseph and Doris (Guppy) Addorio. Nancy graduated Saint Thomas Aquinas High School, a member of the Reunion Committee, she enjoyed catching up with classmates at each reunion.
Nancy was a longtime Stratham resident, where she raised her daughter with her husband of 31 years, Harry L. Knight the III, who passed in 1999.
Nancy leaves behind her daughter and best friend Jolene and her husband Robert Ballou of Rochester, N.H. and two grandsons Zachary and Trevor Ballou.
To Nancy, her family was everything. She enjoyed weekends spent at her daughter's summer home in Buxton, Maine. Nancy was proud and excited for Zach and Kaley who just bought their first home and are expecting a child. She was thrilled at the prospect of being a great grandmother at any moment. Nancy was also proud of youngest grandson Trevor and was looking forward to seeing him graduate college with honors.
Nancy is also survived by her stepmother Beulah Addorio of Portsmouth, whom she was very fond of. In addition, she leaves behind many cousins, three brothers-in-law and their families to include nieces and nephews, as well as countless treasured friends.
Nancy was a fiercely independent woman who remained in her home, owned her own business, working up and until her illness. Nancy was known to family and friends for her kind heart and loving nature. Those that were fortunate enough looked forward every year to her baskets of home baked treats. Nancy's generous spirit will be greatly missed.
Nancy was also preceded in death by an infant brother Joseph John Addorio.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to The Brain Aneurysm Foundation or a charity of your choice in her name.
Services deferred due to the pandemic and a celebration of Nancy's life will be planned at a later date.

Fred and I are so saddened to read of Nancy's passing. Harry and Nancy befriended us in 1978 as newlyweds living in the Atlantic Heights. Soon after, they moved to their new home in Stratham but our friendship continued for many years, highlighted by the annual Knight Christmas parties! Nancy always proudly announced the number of Christmas lights that Harry had perfectly strung on each year's tree. We are so blessed to have known Nancy. She was a gem.

It is with shock and deep sadness that i read this. Nancy was a true friend who never forgot a kindness and returned it over and over.

Dear Jolene: I was so shocked to see my ol' childhood buddy had passed. There are so many memories as we grew from adolescence to young women. She spent a lot of time with me at the Mousam lake cottage, where we were known as the Fiadorios,-- water skiing phenomenons! We made up a song about us and it's currently running through my head as I write this. What's really funny is that I was thinking of her just the other day and made a note to call her and see if we could meet for lunch again (after this crazy pandemic passes) to relive old memories. My heart is so saddened and though we did not keep in touch often, she will be missed. I know how close the two of you are, please know that she and you and your family will be in my prayers always.

Dear Jolene and family, our hearts are breaking and our thoughts and many prayers are with you at this time. Our cousin Nancy was a great gal and we remember your Dad and Mom at camp on Sundays in the summer for cookouts, swimming and water skiing. Nancy is now in her perfect body with her family.
