I met Amanda I 5th grade in class after both of our mothers had met during parent-teacher night at our elementary school and our teacher, Ms. Popoff told each of our mom's that we'd make good friends and so that next day in school we officially met and that was it-we became really fast friends and did everything together including playing Monopoly all night, making prank phone calls, and just being silly. She had the craziest, most hilarious laugh, almost like a cartoon character and when we'd be in my mom's car my mom had to tell Amanda that she couldn't laugh because her laugh was so sudden and loud and my mom was afraid she'd get startled by it and get into a wreck. She was one in a million, a once in a lifetime kind of friend.

I only knew Mandy through Greg's stories, but I she had to have been a special person to have caught his heart (and Jasper's). The best poets in history have not found words to make such a loss easy or understandable, so I will not try. Greg, know you are in my thoughts.

It's sad to see someone so alive taken so soon and to know the pain that this loss has caused. But Mandy obviously brightened a lot of lives.
My deepest condolences.

I will miss you my love. I cherish every moment we had together. Our time together was way to short but was lived to the fullest. You will always be in my heart and will be with me in everything I do.
Your loving husband.
