Dear Taylor & Brandon -
My mother was a cousin to your grandmother, May Wong. Your dad's cousin, Joyce Bimson let me know of his passing just this morning.
I knew your grandmother and grandfather Wong when I moved to the Bay Area to work & live here back in 1978. I spent many happy times at their home in Alameda. It was there that I had the opportunity to meet your father. Like me, he was already off working, so I had only a few occasions to spend time, but they were always wonderful family moments that I remember and cherish.
I met both of you when you were very young and if you're anything like I was at that age, you don't remember those meetings. I do know that you have always been the source of great pride and joy to your grandmother and father. You were loved deeply by them both through good times and tough ones too. Hold their abiding love in your hearts and minds at this time.
Wishing you much love and strength. If you find yourself in the Bay Area, remember that we are family and do not hesitate to call me.

Dear Taylor and Brandon,
I am so very sorry to hear of the loss of your Dad... my heart truly breaks for you. I have nothing but fond memories of the times I spent with your family at the Woodinville house. Your Dad cooked me dinner more than once, always delicious! Your Dad always had a smile and shared the love of all your animals. There were several times when he brought Dancer to see Tango at my house in Redmond, when you guys were in California. I always remarked on how supportive that was of him to do. I'm truly grateful to have known Brent, my life was impacted in a positive way because of it. As you process this loss, try to focus on the blessing that your Dad is now in Heaven with our all mighty Father. Peace be with you...
