So sorry to hear about Carol's passing. I have fond memories of playing with Carol when we were young -- playing in the neighborhood, picking berries, endless games of monopoly, croquet, girl scouts, playing piano, etc. She was so creative and artistic, and always so nice.

Although I did not know Carol very well, I do know she was a precious and humble lady. I remember visiting Carol and her sisters when I was very young and thought at the time that all the girls were adorable with their winning smiles. We connected again at Ingrid’s memorial for a short visit and then again when my dad (Bob Buschmann) was residing at an adult home in Edmonds in 2013. We didn’t connect again until shortly before Carol passed. She texted me and we sent messages back and forth for a while until she decided to call. She was a lot of fun to talk to as we tried to solve all the world problems and plan when we could meet again.
Every year I make an annual retreat to Seattle to sell my books at the Half Price Bookstore in Tukwila. We decided it would be fun to meet up at the Miyabi Restaurant and catch up while indulging in sushi. Unfortunately, by the time the bookstore was able to buy back books, because of COVID-19, it was too late. I feel blessed that I was able to chat with Carol before she left this world to go home to be with our Lord and Savior. She will be truly missed. Special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always.
