Marilyn & Family: I grew up on Maplewood Golf Course living there from 1955 to 1974. I knew Chuck very well with golfing with him and working on the "Crew" at Maplewood in the summers. His smile was enough to warm the coldest heart and the jokes he use to tell would always make you laugh. I went to school with his daughter Karen and on her passing was a very sad day in my life. Now Chuck will be with her. Sorry, I just found out about his passing and said a prayer for him. To the family - my heart felt condolences and sympathy.
God bless.

Marilyn & Family
We were very sad to learn about Chuck's passing. We're sorry that we did not have the opportunity to know Chuck much better. I (Phil) enjoyed comparing family history with Chuck regarding the close friendship that existed between my father "Scotty" and Tommy Trimm. Oh yes and the car race between Hoey, Hoge and Chuck - a very memorable experience at our 1st Grade Reunion in Branson, Missouri. We will always remenber the fun times we had at the reunion. Chuck was a wonderful man.
You are all in your prayers

Marilyn, we will always remember the great times we had in Yuma. The rescue of the valuable bird, the golf games and the Mexican Train games. We'll miss Chuck so much. He was always so much fun and so calm and comfortable to be around. We have so many great memories that we can reminisce about when we get together. Love Tom and Jackie

Uncle Chuck & Aunt Marilyn are like a second set of grandparents to me, only living 3 houses down from my own grandparents my whole life.

We always had so much fun when our grandparents would take all of the cousins on trips. Camping at Ocean Shores, boating on Lake Kachess, or driving out to Grandview...

I've got have the greatest, most loving family of anyone I know. And I couldn't be more grateful for my family, and to have been a part of my Uncle Chuck's life.

I love you so much, Uncle Chuck. You have been such a big part of keeping our family so close. And know that you will always be in my thoughts, and in my heart.

Marilyn, I had planned to join you in celebrating Chuck’s life; but, sickness didn’t allow it. I knew your service would be very special. My fondest memories of Chuck are the many, many hours he so willingly helped the Latte Loonies with all their harebrained projects (even though these were for a good cause). He was always there in the background ready to bail us out. All whomever knew him certainly were blessed with a shy but solid, creative, giving man. A piece of Chuck will forever be a part of all our lives.

Marilyn and family, Chuck was an inspiration to us all . I appreciated his good humor, the stories he would tell about fishing ,golf and his students. I did not get to see him as often as I would have liked but every time I did I came away with a good feeling and a good story to remember. I am sad that he is not with us in person , I know he will continue along with his mother and father to be a part of all of our lives.

We spent many enjoyable times with Marilyn and Chuck. Included were trailer trips to the sunny south, a Mexican cruise and a fun filled trip to the island with them and Kathy and Bill. Who can forget those wonderful Renton High School basket ball years and Chuck's discovery of the wayward tie tac.

Although we didn't see to much of them during their Grandview years, they were always in our thoughts. Chuck your steady "hand" and subtle humor will be missed.

Dear Mrs. Trimm and family,

Mr. Trimm impacted my life by teaching me in middle school. He made me laugh, took time with me, and made me feel valued. I am a teacher now because of Mr. Trimm's influence. In a way, he has passed the baton on to me.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

Through my tears I bid my brother farewell on his new journey. I will miss him greatly, but will hold him in my mind and heart. I remember our first golf game together at Maple Valley. My golf club went futher than the ball, but Chuck kept encouraging me. I still play golf. I remember his accordion playing and entertaining the neighborhood and the great Sundays where he read me the funnies. Thank you Marilyn for the great care you gave him in his time of need. Now God is holding him in his hands. All my love, Lois

Dear Marylin and family, we were so saddened to hear of chucks passing, but so heartened to know how easy you all made his last few days. To have so much love surrounding you at the end of your life is all we can all hope for. We all loved meeting your Chuck here in Scotland and will always remember with laughter the first few seconds of meeting him, when he sat on mums fireplace and broke an ornament, and needless to say the ice as well, without even meaning to, we all regard him an honorary scot and send our heartfelt condolences to you all. Uncle Chuck was a calm, quiet, wonderful man who was always there to lend a helping hand. I remember when he saved the day at the 0 party. Our house lost all electricity after I soaked the outside electrical circuit with a garden hose - it was a silly girl moment. Who knew that little red button in the garage was so important? He did (thank goodness!). We miss you and will always remember your smiling face and that fabulous golf swing.

Aunt Marilyn,
I am so grateful to you and Chuck for all you have done for us, the family and friends. I was fortunate to meet and marry Dean and be welcomed into the family with open arms. His smile, generosity and love will linger in my heart forever.

"Charles", as I called him (Marilyn thought that was so funny) was such a dear man with a ready smile.
First got to know him at CWCE where we enjoyed the "mixers" and double dated with he and Marilyn.
Enjoyed our reunions with the Bryn Mawr group over the years.
He will be missed by all those that had the privilege to call him friend.

October 24, 2008

Aloha,
Marilyn and family, our thoughts are with you. You lost a special piece of your family puzzle and we are sorry. You have such a wonderful supportive family and friend network, I am glad that you are all there for each other.
Our family feels so blessed when we think about sharing so many great memories with Chuck and his family in Prosser. Our relationship started with Cris as a child knowing Chuck and Marilyn as "Adults", Dean's Aunt and Uncle, and then he got older and we were able to know them as "Friends". Now our children know them as friends and mentors as well. You have provided warmth, love, acceptance, and generosity since we have met you. Thank you for that.

Selfishly, we will miss Chuck fiercely and be sad that we will not be able to make more memories, but grateful for the ones we have.

Thinking of you,

Bob Logue

Dear friends,
My friend Albert T (Bud) Miskimens lost his brother -in-law yesterday.......Charles (chuck) Trimm who married Marilyn Miskimens, younger sister of Bud 's ............
Personally I lost a little track of Chuck since we were at CWU together a few years ago. I remember that he was strong as a bull and a really good track man ...and
he could do amazing things with metal - lumber and nails. He and Marilyn had three great children - two girls and a boy. They moved to Grandview or some town in the Yakima Valley some years ago......Chuck was one of the really nice guys that I ever met - one time in grad school he had a psych class and he asked me if he could
give me an I Q test (was a class project)...so I said O K ....over the years I asked him about the score - - - - he never told me ....when I get up there I am going to ask him again. He was smart and everyone liked Chuck Trimm. ( and he could hit the golf ball out of sight )

Chuck was an outstanding human being and a kind, kind soul. I have lost a dear friend.
