Numerous - - more than several conversations stick out in my mind as I remember "Connie". She marveled at the rose bush she saved from a construction project and is now thoroughly ensconced in the lovely Twin Lake view of the golf course and Puget Sound -(creating an ecosystem of itself - anyone who knows Connie -knows she is a through and through environmentalist -love of trees )...The second I will relate is - -I knew of Connie's prowess on the keyboards as she had made joyful noises to The Lord innumerable times as pianist at CCC ( by the way she played splendidly on Palm Sunday a few weeks before she was hospitalized) - Anyways we got onto the subject of "Ode To Music" a music format program by Diane Bish -and my golly - I must of had a 120 minute conversation about pipe organs around the world, their nuances, technique, what amazed me most was the athletic ability organist has with their legs like a 1600 meter race - etc. etc. - The wisdom exuded phenomenally - I just thought we had a "pretty-good" pianist -but lo and behold keyboardist extraordinaire..... Lastly I'll relate both our love for Garrison Keillor and our avid Saturday PM date with "A Prairie Home Companion" - It was fun to check in and see what part of The Lutheran world did she/we pick up on from the broadcast - Pure Joy!! - Connie - you will be missed - But I am confident in the Glory and Resurrection of Son of God Christ Jesus; We will all meet again in the hereafter - Peace and Grace - God Is Good !

It was so wonderful to have Connie across the street for all these years. We met casually out on the sidewalk years ago, and I always enjoyed Connie's sweet spirit. Her beautiful eyes lit up and she just had such a love for God's creation. We stopped and looked at beautiful flowers on our walks, and she also enjoyed remembering her childhood growing up in Parkland and going up to her grandparents at Christmas. She talked about the beautiful yard in Parkland, with even the house shutters matching the flowers. It was like I was there. I miss Connie so very much. She loved the Lord and I saw Him in her! We pray for God's strength and His peace for Christian and Jim. She was so loved and will be missed. Ben and Diane Miller
