I met David back in the mid-80s. He was a true gentleman. On that we all aspire to be.

My father was Larry Barcklay who owned an advertising agency in Spokane that Dave worked at. He was a talented advertiser and artist who added SO much to the small agency. I was a teenager at the time and he was always kind to me and was so very funny. I still have one of his paintings hanging in my home and will always treasure it.

So sorry to hear of the passing of David Lempesis. I worked at the Seattle Center while David was the Media and Public Relations Manager in early 1970's. He was the prototype of a Public Relations professional and he was a funny guy. I remember moving into a new office and David came in and paced off the room's length and width to determine the square footage. Then he stood a foot from the corner wall and placed his forearm against the wall and rested his head on his arm and mimicked marking his spot. We laughed and laughed. That was David. He was quick and funny.
